The Mission

Projet Rescousse Logo

Projet Rescousse is a non profit organization registered in compliance with the provincial Companies Act. The project has two important goals, first to raise funds for the rescue of species at risk and second, to raise consciousness over species endangerment. The craftbeer Rescousse is the medium of choice to attain the project’s goals.

In Ontario, Rescousse beer is the object of an alliance between four major partners of the project: RJ Brewers, Wildlife Habitat Canada, Premier Brands and Projet Rescousse. For each bottle sold in LCBO stores, royalties will directly be paid by RJ Brewers and its representative (Premier Brands) to Wildlife Habitat Canada. The funds raised will be destined to different actions or projects susceptible to aid the recovery of species at risk in Ontario, notably those that are designated in accordance with the federal Species at risk Act (SARA) or those that are considered so in compliance with the provincial legislation. The main priorities will be concrete interventions having a positive impact on the natural populations or initiatives aiming to facilitate access, restore or protect their habitat.

It is in the spirit of equal exchange that the public is invited to participate financially to the recovery of species at risk by means of Projet Rescousse. Everyone’s voluntary contribution will be twice rewarded, first by the satisfaction of investing in the environment and second, by purchasing a product of great quality. Taken with moderation, Rescousse beer is a convivial beverage and an excellent pretext for discussion and exchange of ideas and views on environmental issues.

Long live to Projet Rescousse !
